2. Screenshots & Content

We do not store your screenshots on our servers. All screen captures processing happens locally within your browser. When you "download" or "copy" a screenshot, the data remains on your device.

Extension Permissions

To function correctly, the ScrollShot extension requires specific permissions:

  • activeTab: Required to capture the visible area of the current tab you are scrolling.
  • storage: Used to save your user preferences locally.
  • scripting: Necessary to inject the auto-scrolling script into the page to capture full-page screenshots.

Data Security

We implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information. Your authentication data is handled securely by Supabase, a trusted industry-standard backend provider.
